These photos are of California Pines in Modoc, California. Walking in the forest was one of the most transcendental experiences in my life. There is an interesting contrast to what one would experience in a temple or church. Spirituality is not bound by material considerations. I went in on a brisk windy day and it snowed very low. The max height was about 6100 feet. This was during Memorial Day Weekend 2006.
